According to newspaper sources, more than 10,000 Taiwanese websites were attacked this May.
Many of those websites' databases were injected with attack strings, making website connections slower, and with site users injected with Trojan viruses. A lot of those sites did not have sufficient backup mechanisms either, thus leading to difficulties in data recovery, and resulting in significant losses.
